Editorial Policy

Korean skincare is marketed with a lot of confidence and very little explanation. Han Beauty Lab exists to close that gap: to say what an ingredient does, at what concentration it has been studied, and where the evidence runs out. These are the standards we hold ourselves to.

1. Ingredients first, brands second

We write about ingredients and methods, not about which brand is best. Where a product is named, it is as an example of a formulation type — never as a ranking or an endorsement.

2. What we will not claim

Skincare is cosmetic, not medical. We do not claim any product treats, cures or prevents a condition. Where a topic touches medicine — acne, eczema, rosacea, melasma — we say plainly that it needs a dermatologist, and we do not offer a substitute.

3. Sourcing

Ingredient claims are based on published cosmetic-science literature, regulatory ingredient listings and manufacturer technical data. When something is widely repeated online but poorly evidenced, we say that rather than repeating it.

4. No paid reviews, no fake ratings

We do not accept payment in exchange for coverage or for a favorable verdict, and we do not publish invented user reviews or star ratings. Advertising on this site is display advertising, clearly separated from editorial content.

5. Corrections

6. Use of AI

AI tools may assist with drafting and research. Every article is reviewed for accuracy before publication, and responsibility for what we publish rests with our editorial team.
